Thank you so much!"

Q: Is the Kitchen of the Littlest House big enough to do anything more than stand in it while dialing DoorDash?
A: Actually, yes! The Littlest House is fully stocked with both large and small appliances, and just enough room to use them.

Q: Does your refrigerator have water and ice in the door?
A: Not only does the refrigerator NOT have water and ice in the door, it doesn't have an ice maker at all. We will start you off with a container of ice and full ice cube trays in the freezer. We have absolute confidence in your ability to manage the process of filling the ice cube trays as needed.

Q: Is the Littlest House a great place to leave our dog loose in the house or yard while we go out?
A: Nope. Your doggy friend needs to be confined to the crate you bring with you if they are going to be without you while on the property.

Q: We see there is an alarm system. Does that mean the neighborhood isn't safe?
A: We are very comfortable with the safety of the neighborhood. The alarm is there for your psychological comfort if you feel nervous about being away from home, as some of us do at times.

Q: Do you need us to deep clean the house before we leave?
A: Nah. We don't want you to give up the peace you gained during your stay with the stress of a big cleanup. That said, it would be awesome if you took your trash out to the bin, started a load of dishes in the dishwasher, and maybe picked up any unusually egregious messes.

Q: Will you be mad if we leave dog poop in the yard?
A: Nope, but we absolutely WILL charge you a fee if you make us pick up your dog's poop.

Q: Are there any good places to eat nearby?
A: YASSSS! Enjoy breakfast at Guglhupf, Fosters, or Refectory. Maybe try the tacos at NuvoTaco, or dive into a giant platter of barbeque at Q-Shack for lunch. In the afternoon, cheer on your favorite soccer team at The Boot Room, and grab a cold one at the adjacent Beer Study. For dinner, you might enjoy noodles at Thai Cafe, some award winning seafood at Saltbox, or clean up a little and make an appearance at Nana's for an upscale twist to the evening. And that's all just within walking distance! Head to Downtown Durham less than two miles away to blow your mind with a multitude of delicious options.

Q: Is the Littlest House a great place to have a party?
A: No. No it is not. Beyond the fact that the Littlest House is, well, Little, it is also in a family neighborhood. Parties are against House Rules.

Q: Is the Littlest House a great place to smoke and vape?
A: Honestly, if you plan on smoking or vaping, please don't stay at The Littlest House. Both smoking and vaping of any substance are against House Rules.

Q: What supplies can we expect to be at the house when we arrive?
A: We will make sure there are:
-- A few bottles of water in the fridge
-- A handful of Keurig Coffee Pods
-- Some cream and sugar
-- A small variety of tea bags
-- A roll of paper towels
-- Dish Soap
-- A handful of dishwasher pods
-- Several rolls of toilet paper
-- A handful of Laundry Detergent pods
-- A handful of dryer sheets

-- Hand Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body WashThere will also be oil, vinegar, and a small variety of basic spices.

Q: Where can we get more of all these things when what you've given us is used up?
A: There is a Super Target 2.3 miles away!

"The Littlest House is charming and exactly as depicted in the photos if not better. Thoughtful attention to detail surpases any short term rental experience I've had to date from snacks in the kitchen to spare dog bags for use in the yard."
